Touring Through Blogland

Hello sweet readers, the awesome Kelly from The Essence Of Home
invited me to join a fun blog tour. Kelly's blog was one of the first ones
I ever followed and she helped and encouraged me when I first
started my own blog.  Although I have never met Kelly in person,
she is one of my favorite blogging pals. And her beautiful Cottage
Style Home is just amazing!!!!!

So let's get started with my mini tour......

I have to answer these 4 questions

1.  What Are You Working On Right Now?
Our Dining room is one of the bigger projects I am working on right now.
It is a bit dark and gloomy in there since it faces North and backs up to a forest.
Plus I grew tired of all the terra cotta colors. I recently made some little changes,
such as getting creamy slipcovers to cover the dark green chairs and a new jute rug.
I am planning on painting very soon and giving it fresh new look.
Here is a little sneak-peak for you, but I still have a long ways to go.

2.  How Does My Work Differ From Others in This Genre?
I think we ALL differ from one another. Even if we have similar styles, we all add our
own personal touch to our homes. Can you imagine how boring it would be if we all had
exactly the same taste? Being different from one another is what makes snooping
around other blogs so much fun!

3. Why Do I Write/Create What I do?
I have always loved Home Decor but it wasn't until I got hooked on Pinterest about
2 years ago that I started getting into blogs (including Kelly's "The Essence of Home").
I was sooooo inspired by all the talent out there. I had to remind myself  that
"I too have 2 hands"
So Little Brags has become my little outlet, my #1 Hobby,
where I share my journey of improving our home one little project at a time.

4.  How Does Your Writing/Creating Process Work?
Well, let's see...I read a lot of blogs and I get inspired every day.
When it comes to my blog posts, I am very spontaneous. I hardly ever plan anything,
I just get an idea in my head and go for it. I am not a "very wordy" blogger.
I keep my blog posts short and sweet and let the pictures do the talking!

I am supposed to introduce you to 3 other bloggers now

BUT I have a problem.

I only have 2 bloggers for you. Not from a lack of trying, but the
third blogger I invited was out of town and suddenly it was a bit
too late to invite someone else.  I hope the blogging police won't come get me now!!!
Next Monday, these lovely ladies will be doing a post like this and
introduce you to 3 other bloggers...and so on.  But in the mean time,
I am happy to introduce the following blogs to you.

Alyssa from "The Decorating Duchess"

The Decorating Duchess

Hi. I'm Alyssa, The Decorating Duchess.
I'm a full time mom of 2 boys from San Antonio, Texas,
who loves to DIY, decorate and write about my adventures
along the way. My blog is full of ideas on how to decorate
on a budget as well as other artsy endeavors.
I hope you can come visit soon!

Nicki from "Sweet Parrish Place"

I started my blog almost two years ago.
We live in an 18 year old split level in Bridgeport,
WV that we are slowly trying to update, mostly ourselves.
I blog about the renovation of our house, my DIY
projects, my eclectic, modern, polished casual design
style.  I also sprinkle a little fashion into the mix.

So head on over and visit Alyssa and Nicki.
I know you will enjoy their blogs as much as I do!

  1. I loved reading more about your blogging process and what you're working on! Your dining room is looking so pretty. I LOVE your chair covers! I like being able to check on your blog and see all the fun projects you're working on, both inside and out. Thanks so much for participating in this blog tour and saying such nice things about my blog. I'm so glad that I had a part in inspiring you in some way. I couldn't agree more about liking that we're all different in some way and that's what makes it fun to visit each other and get ideas. I'll have to go check out the other bloggers that you invited now.

  9. Great idea for tours! I love your home and look forward to the color you paint your dining room! It's lightened up quite a bit already with the chairs and rug! Have a great weekend, and thanks again for linking to Merry Monday Linky! (I'm glad to hear you "wing" it with posts - I don't plan either, and I always feel slightly guilty about that! Glad I'm not the only one!!! ). Julia

  13. I've been a big planner when it comes to blogging, but lately have been doing more of a "from-the-hip" approach. I sure saves time! Love your pretty home, so many pretty pictures to see here. Thank you for sharing this at the History & Home link party. Take care, Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
